In DAoC Midgard pets still stroll into keeps, and early Warhammer squigs and lions were as well. Did this ever get fixed?

The certainly did improve it. Since you were in Hib you never had to deal with chanter nuking pets. Those things would kill people quick in the days before spellcrafting and buffbots. And you could not escape them. Pets still sometimes run into keeps though they often bug out and get stuck when they try.

Of course given your posting history you are probably just making a statement without any evidence to back it up. Been playing on Devon a bit as a cabbie and the pet has issues going into a keep with a hole in it let alone an undamaged keep and never shoots through walls anymore when using the ranged pet.
